R&D CFD is a Spin-Off Company of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. It was born on July 2012 from GruMo, the Research Group on Internal Combustion Engines of the Department of Engineering “Enzo Ferrari”.
We offer to our Customer a highly qualified consultant service on all thermofluid dynamics applications by means of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations.
President, CEO and Co-Founder of R&D CFD, he graduated at University of Modena in Vehicle Engineering with the highest marks. He had his PhD focusing on CFD modelling of multiphase flows and on heat transfer in internal combustion engines publishing several papers.

Vice President and Co-Founder of R&D CFD, he is an Associate Professor in Turbomachinery and Internal Combustion Engines at Department of Engineering “Enzo Ferrari” of University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He is the head of the Research Group on Engines, where R&D CFD comes from. He is author of more than 70 publications on engines and their simulations by means of Computational Fluid Dynamics tools.

Co-Founder and Scientific Director of R&D CFD, he is Full Professor at Department of Engineering “Enzo Ferrari” of University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He is the Scientific Director of 2nd level Master in Vehicle Engineering. He is author of more than 100 scientific publications covering several topics such as energy transformation, internal combustion engines, turbomachineries.
